Why Haworth Hotel

The Haworth Hotel in Holland, Michigan opened 27 years ago and was crafted to serve as a bridge between the Hope campus and downtown Holland. That role is receiving renewed emphasis, and with the addition of a Biggby coffee, we see the hotel is not only for hotel and conference guests but for members of the Hope and Holland communities and other visitors to the area.

Hospitality Is Haworth Hotel

We really have the best of both worlds here at the Haworth Hotel. Holland, Michigan voted the second-happiest place to live in America, embraces small-town charm while offering the progressive nature of a big city. The community is welcoming and engaging, and there’s always something to do! Our ties to Hope College bring us to the next level, offering guests a new realm of possibilities. Academic conferences are eagerly welcomed and supported by the campus community.

The History of Haworth Hotel

We’re 23 years into this and loving every minute of it. The Haworth Hotel in Holland, Michigan came to fruition when Hope College realized there was both a need and an opportunity to enhance its relationship with the Holland community. The “Hope In the Future” campaign, fueled by the generosity of Haworth, Inc. and the Haworth family, began to take shape.

Our doors opened for business on January 13, 1997, with fifty guest rooms and fourteen conference rooms covering 10,000 square feet. Since then, we’ve welcomed guests from across the world and hosted thousands of events in various fields and interests.
